An untested thought about a low energy Kabutops deck. Cubone is your early game staller. Hitmonchan is immediate early pressure (if you go second). Kabutops and Marowak EX are the win conditions, using their low retreat cost to stay actionable.

Both Moltres act as energy engines (just hope the coins like you) for Charizard EX and Centiskorch. (Centiskorch seems fairly interchangable w/ Flareon, Arcanine, or Arcanine EX. Use whichever you like more.)

Goal is to either stall until Venusaur EX gets set up, or to rush Exeggutor EX. One Caterpie can be sac'd for card draw. Butterfree can tank a bit.

I really like the coin flip and potentially fast big damage on Jolteon. Adding in Pikachu theme felt like a no brainer and has held its own against both Charizard and Mewtwo meta decks.

Dragonite has a special place in my heart, from being a cute an innocent Dratini, to evolving into one of the most powerful dragons in the game, it has definitely earned its place in my top favorite pokemon. This deck is a very solid deck, even though it has two energies. This problem is solved by using the trainer Misty, to throw crazy amounts of energy to our water pokemon up front, while our Dragonite prepares for its assault. This deck has won me many matches, and created some very overwhelming comebacks, this is by far my favorite Dragonite deck to play.

Don't have all the cards you need for a proper Mewtwo deck? Look no further. All you need for this deck are Mewtwo's and some basic pokemon that can take a couple hits. The game plan is simple, put out your tough basic pokemon to tank all the damage, while your Mewtwo casually sits behind it and gets as many energies on it as it can. This deck isn't as fast or efficient as a gardivore Mewtwo deck, however it is the next best thing while starting to play the game. Trainers can be switched out for whatever you have already. This deck is for new players that don't have all the cards they need yet, while still having a solid strategy.
